Com.D.Purkayastha, Assistant General
Secretary, BSNLEU, passed away.
It was with great shock and agony, that the CHQ
received the news yesterday that com.D.Purkayastha, Assistant General
Secretary, BSNLEU, passed away in a Guwahati hospital. He was 55 years old.
Com. D.Purkayastha had been suffering from severe chicken pox and was admitted
to a hospital at Guwahati, when his condition became critical. He expired at
06:45 hrs yesterday the 06.10.2013. The cremation of the mortal remains of
com.D.Purkayastha took place yesterday evening. Com.D.Purkayastha is survived
by his wife and two children. We pay our respectful homage to the departed
leader. We also pay our deepest condolences to his family members,
relatives, friends and all the comrades of Assam circle.
